Job summary

MS Canada is seeking a Manager, Communications for a 16-month contract, 35 hours per week, anywhere in Canada. The role leads media relations, external communications and messaging strategies to support MS Canada’s mission and reputation.

The position requires coordinating with teams, travelling across Canada as needed, and working occasional weekends or evenings. Location is Regina, SK with on-site work; salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 CAD annually.

Qualifications

  • Brings proven experience in managing communications, public relations, and/or media relations plans that support brand identity and image.
  • Brings proven experience in managing media relations, including facilitating inquiries, outreach, and logistics planning.
  • Demonstrates strong writing, editing and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, navigating challenges with tact and diplomacy.
  • Is highly collaborative and able to build trusting professional relationships with colleagues, external partners, and community members.
  • Demonstrates experience leading a team by providing direction, coaching, and feedback through direct people management and/or project leadership.
  • Availability to work the occasional weekend and evenings; potential for occasional travel across Canada.
