Communications Coordinator – Permanent – Admin Hub, Peterborough, Ontario.
Hours: 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Pay: $27.93 to $36.71 per hour. Anticipated Start Date: October 20, 2025.

About the role

You will collaborate with the Communications Lead and cross‑functional teams to craft strategic stories, support marketing and partnership initiatives, and strengthen our presence within the community.

About you

You are a passionate communicator, energetic, creative, and self‑motivated. You value learning, partnership, and inclusion, and you lead by developing other leaders.

Accountabilities
  • Oversight and strategy for social media.
  • Creating, scheduling, and reposting social media content in alignment with our values of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Drafting external communications to families, funders, partners, and community stakeholders (family newsletters, media releases, funder communications, marketing materials).
  • Marketing new spaces, programs, and employment opportunities (social media advertising, radio, etc.).
  • Managing marketing and design projects, including reports, infographics, and print materials, in consultation with colleagues.
  • Overseeing video creation projects for marketing and social media.
  • Basic analytics to guide best practices.
  • Day‑to‑day website management.
  • Backup support for internal communications to 700+ staff (staff newsletters, drafting and editing messages).
  • Grant writing in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Supporting lead networks and emerging projects.
