NATURE AND SCOPE

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Recruitment and External Affairs (SREA), the Communications Associate will help to promote the College’s academic mission and vision and provide communication tools and administrative support in the planning and execution of SREA activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engages with the College’s alumni through social media platforms and facilitates networking and engagement opportunities with the College
  • Assists with creating written and visual content and promotional materials related to alumni affairs, fundraising, and student recruitment
  • Helps maintain an active social media presence of the College
  • Carries out various tasks to support the awarding of scholarships and bursaries to students
  • Maintains the alumni database, documents alumni interactions and activities, and produces reports as required
  • Helps maintain a digital asset library (photos, logos, templates)
  • Assists in event organization by maintaining guest lists, sending invitations, creating name tags, capturing photos and quotes, post‑event communications on social media, and content archiving
  • Perform other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or equivalent in a communications program or other appropriate field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in communications, marketing or customer relations
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and French – testing may be required
  • Proficient in various social media platforms and online tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel at intermediate level) – testing may be required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud or other graphic design tools
  • Knowledge of the Quebec post‑secondary education sector is an asset
