About The Role

We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join our growing team! We seek an exemplary writer and storyteller to bring creativity and precision to our communications. In this role, you will create engaging messaging for our internal teams and broker audience to help us strengthen our B2B brand. We value stories as a way to enrich the relationships we have with brokers, their customers, and our employees. This means we value you for your ability to weave a captivating story and tactically lay out the details, mindful of each audience for whom you are creating an experience.

You will develop strategies and execute plans to support the communication efforts within our distribution network. You will act as the point of contact for communication matters and will provide strategic consulting services for projects to ensure they gain the maximum public exposure for all initiatives targeting external audiences.

What You'll Do Here
  • Support and develop integrated, clear, and concise communication documents and programs for brokers.
  • Ensure that all communications support the organization's brand image and that this image promotes the achievement of the organization's objectives.
  • Liaise with directors, managers, and other employees to develop and execute communication strategies and deliverables that are creative, effective, and reflect high-quality work.
  • Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and review a wide variety of communication documents (e.g., key messages, communication plans, deliverables, tactics, etc.).
  • Provide writing, editing, and ongoing maintenance support for all internal and external printed and digital assets and presentations.
  • Analyze the results of the communication initiatives and strategies that have been implemented to recommend improvements.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Bachelor's degree in communications/mass media/writing, or any other combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent writing skills in both English and French.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite tools.
  • Knowledge of current trends in web communication, digital tools, and the use of multimedia, an asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, curiosity paired with a testing mentality.
  • Autonomous, collaborative and solution oriented.
  • Great ability to adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of the insurance sector is an asset.
  • Bilingualism required (French / English) - Necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
