Position Overview

Performs the duties of a receptionist, releasing accurate and timely residents/patients’ information to the public and directing the flow of visitors and residents/patients to the units.

Experience
  • Six (6) months recent experience operating a computerized switchboard console.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Knowledge of the English language consistent with the demands of the job.
  • Familiar with voice mail, demonstrates skills/knowledge using the latest microcomputer software.
  • Works within the Centre’s core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures. Second language is an asset.
  • Able to work independently and function as part of a cooperative team.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
