What you can expect to do here:
  • Lead & Inspire: Guide a talented team of Mechanical and Electrical Commissioning professionals on projects that span British Columbia, setting new standards for quality and performance.
  • Mentor & Grow: Support your team’s development through every stage of the commissioning cycle—from proposals and design reviews to site inspections, troubleshooting, and client relations.
  • Drive Sustainability: Help clients achieve prestigious certifications like LEED and Energy Star, making a tangible difference in energy efficiency and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate Nationwide: Work closely with proposal teams, project managers, and commissioning leaders across Canada, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards, all while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Business Development: Build and nurture strong client relationships, identify and pursue new business opportunities, and help expand WSP’s reach in the BC commissioning sector. Explore emerging markets and services, and partner with other departments to unlock internal opportunities and drive innovation.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
  • Extensive experience in mechanical/electrical commissioning consulting, with a deep understanding of industry principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high‑performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and project pricing.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction, or equivalent industry experience (preferred).
  • BC P.Eng. designation and LEED certification (preferred).

Salary range (in British Columbia): $113,500 to $156,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
