A leading legal recruitment firm in Toronto is seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join a busy commercial real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have five years of post-call experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and financings. Our client is one of the best law firms in Canada focused on commercial leasing, commercial real estate, and litigation. They are currently searching for an experienced Associate Lawyer to join their busy and expanding commercial real estate practice group.
In this new role you will be responsible for providing outstanding client service in communication, legal advice, negotiations and drafting. Proactive, hands-on responsibility for a broad range of transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial, retail, industrial, multi-residential and mixed-use properties. Developing creative solutions to appropriately move files forward and sustain competitive advantage.
To be considered for this position, you must have at least five (5) consecutive years’ post-call experience in commercial real estate transactions and related documents, including the completion of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and related matters. You should have some experience in executing and advising on corporate transactions such as the formation and organization of ownership entities (e.g., corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships) and small business transactions. You can work well under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. You will also have strong teamwork skills, trustworthy, accountable, proactive and a positive work attitude.
