Allstate Canada Group is seeking a Commercial & Privacy Counsel to join its Law & Regulation Department. The role focuses on commercial, privacy, data, and technology matters, providing proactive legal advice to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.

The candidate will review, draft and negotiate contracts and help shape the data privacy program. The position requires 5+ years in commercial, technology and/or privacy law, Ontario Bar admission, and the ability to work in a dynamic regulatory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated commercial, technology and/or privacy law experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Ontario and member of the Ontario Bar in good standing.
• French language ability is an asset, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic legal advice on commercial, privacy/data, emerging technology and new technology products.
• Support contracting, procurement and governance across Allstate Canada Group.
• Advise on data privacy program design and implementation and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with internal partners and external counsel to manage legal risk.
