A leading insurance firm in Langley is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lines Assistant to manage policy documents, communicate with clients and underwriters, and support the insurance team. The ideal candidate holds a Level 2 BC General Insurance License and has experience in property and liability insurance. Are you a licensed insurance professional with a strong understanding of property and liability coverages? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Lines Assistant to join a collaborative and growing team in Langley. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment, takes accountability, and is eager to expand their skills within commercial lines.
Issue binders, proofs of insurance, and certificates
Review policy documents for accuracy and request corrections or endorsements
Prepare submissions, proposals, cover notes, and enclosures for new business and endorsements
Handle daily inquiries from producers, clients, and underwriters
Maintain system notes and applications
Process invoicing and payments
Contact clients for renewal information and assist with client communications
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service to long-standing accounts
May assist with social media initiatives and marketing support as needed
Level 2 BC General Insurance License (mandatory)
Minimum 2 years of experience in personal or commercial lines (commercial experience an asset)
Strong knowledge of property and liability insurance
Comfortable reading and interpreting policy wordings
Experience with Applied Epic (required)
Experience with CSR24 and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity working with multiple insurance carriers
Experience with commercial auto, pro-rate, or fleet policies is an asset
Exposure to high-net-worth personal lines is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable speaking with carriers and underwriters
