Job description

We’re seeking a Commercial Large Loss Project Manager fluent in Xactimate claims to oversee complex, high-value restoration projects resulting from fire, water, storm, or catastrophic events. In this role, you will drive the early phases of each project, leading initial client and insurance meetings, developing scopes of work, and setting project objectives. A key focus of this role is ensuring all scopes, budgets, and documentation are accurate, claims‑compliant, and aligned with insurance requirements.

Once projects are defined, you’ll transition execution to Project Coordinators and field teams while maintaining high‑level oversight, ensuring projects meet standards for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and claims compliance. This position requires expertise in restoration, construction, team leadership, and operational excellence, combined with strong Xactimate‑based claims management skills to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and insurance partners.

Why This Role Matters

You’ll play a critical leadership role in ensuring that high‑value, large‑loss commercial restoration projects start on the right footing and deliver exceptional outcomes. Your expertise will directly impact client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the company’s reputation for excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide strategic oversight of large‑scale commercial restoration projects across mitigation, remediation, and reconstruction phases.
  • Lead the development and management of detailed project scopes, budgets, and schedules, collaborating with Estimators and Supervisors to align with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Serve as the primary client‑facing executive during the initial project phases, managing relationships with commercial clients, national accounts, insurance adjusters, and consultants.
  • Support project closeout, ensuring all deliverables are completed, documentation is finalized, and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Participate in after‑hours responses during large‑loss mobilizations or emergencies.
  • Foster customer satisfaction through professionalism, relationship building, and prompt, accurate communication with clients, subcontractors, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Commercial Losses or senior management.
What You Bring
  • IICRC Certification with in‑depth knowledge of restoration methods, construction practices, and building systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and DocuSphere.
  • Business‑minded, detail‑oriented, and committed to quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Strong strategic, communication, and relationship‑building skills with clients and insurance partners.
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel regionally or nationally.
