Job summary

BOXX Modular in Langley, BC is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to maintain ultra-clean fleet assets, offices and related spaces. You will follow strict PPE and safety guidelines while delivering high sanitation standards across indoor and outdoor areas.

The role requires prior commercial cleaning experience, attention to detail, and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing. A valid driver's license is preferred for site access.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial cleaner, or similar
• High level of sanitization, PPE and safe work practices
• Cleaning/sanitization within restoration or facilities preferred
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• WHMIS trained, with experience using commercial cleaning supplies
• Pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing
• Clear pre-employment criminal records check; knowledge of PPE and safe practices
• Must have valid driver’s license and provide a clean driver abstract

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and restock bathrooms and kitchens
• Clean and disinfect yard, fleet assets, and office spaces
• Flush floors with mopping, vacuuming, and steam cleaning
• Wash walls, windows, and glass surfaces
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces and remove garbage
• Inspect fleet assets and report repairs needed
• Adhere to company safety standards and PPE requirements
• Other duties as required

We have a full-time position for Commercial Cleaner in Langley, British Columbia

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working collaboratively with the Field Service team, the Commercial Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting our fleet rental assets (modular buildings) and office, to enhance esthetics, quality and safety of those areas, following Company standards and safe work procedures, including compliance with prescribed PPE (personal protective equipment).

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial cleaning, with a high standard for cleaning and disinfecting areas. Experience cleaning within restoration, disaster recovery, or commercial buildings would be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently ensure our yard, all rental assets and office space maintain a safe, clean, sanitized and orderly condition including:
• Cleaning, disinfecting and restocking bathrooms
• Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen areas, bedrooms and appliances
• Mopping, vacuuming, and steam cleaning to disinfect floors
• Washing walls, windows and glass surfaces
• Regularly disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, and other surfaces
• Removing garbage and other items as required
• Moving items as required
• Inspect the condition of our fleet assets and notify management of any visible repairs needed
• Ensure Black Diamonds high standards of cleanliness and safety are met
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial cleaner, or similar
• Previous experience in working in environments that require a high level of sanitization, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe work practices
• Previous experience in cleaning/sanitization within a restoration (floods, disaster recovery, etc.) or facilities is strongly preferred
• Must have high attention to detail and quality standards
• WHMIS trained, with experience in working safety with commercial grade cleaning supplies
• Ability to pass both a pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing as required
• Ability to clear a pre-employment criminal records checkKnowledge of PPE and safe work practices
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract

Working Conditions

• Working both indoors and outside in all weather

Physical Requirements’

• Comfortable with working outdoors in all weather
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting
