Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Process basic insurance transactions and policies.
  • Assist Commercial producers with sending correspondence to underwriters to help with detailed workflows.
  • Assist existing Commercial Producers.
  • Process basic insurance transactions under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
  • Identify client needs and provide information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; work with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
  • Recommend and implement a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collect payment; promote Brio Insurance products and services.
  • Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.
Essential Qualifications
  • Completed a Level 1 Brokers license.
  • Complete the Commercial Academy offered by SGI.
  • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services.
  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
