We are currently looking for a Combined Lab and X-Ray Technologist (CLXT) to join our team in Wabasca— a close-knit northern community known for its scenic landscape and cultural richness. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to rural health care while broadening your clinical expertise across both laboratory and diagnostic imaging disciplines. This position includes day shifts and on-call duties with occasional early evening shifts. In addition to a competitive rate of pay and eligibility for relocation assistance, Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) currently offers a Remote Retention Allowance—up to a maximum of $3,000 annually. This non-pensionable allowance is paid hourly for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X‑ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Experience with Vitros XT, Triage, iSTAT, ACL Elite Pro, Clinitek & Sysmex Analyzers.
