Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) offers competitive pay with an additional Remote Retention Allowance—up to a maximum of $3,000 annually. This non‑pensionable allowance is paid hourly for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay.
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II, you will direct and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of department staff and services in their area. You will be responsible for the coordination, organization and operation of the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments. You will also be responsible to perform site specific manual and automated laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging exams, cardiology procedures and related duties following established standards and practice defined by the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and Health Professions Act.
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
As required.
Previous experience in Wabasca, along with proficiency with Vitros XT, Sysmex1000, Triage, iSTAT, Elite Pro and Clinitek analyzers, Reagent Ordering, QC month end, CAP responses & scheduling.
