Job summary

A healthcare organization in Fort Qu'Appelle is seeking two dedicated Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technicians (CLXT) to join their Lab & Diagnostics team. The ideal candidates will perform various laboratory and medical imaging duties while working collaboratively with health services. Applicants must graduate from an accredited CLXT program and be licensed in Saskatchewan. Experience with Indigenous clients is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must complete courses in Immunology, Cardiac Markers, Blood Gases, and Therapeutic Drugs.
  • Experience in a rural setting and with Indigenous clients is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full scope Laboratory, ECG, holter monitoring, and medical imaging duties.
  • Work closely with health departments to deliver safe and accurate testing services.

POSITION SUMMARY

An Integrated and Wholistic Approach to Health Care Delivery

All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technicians (CLXT) to join the high-functioning Lab & Diagnostics team.

  • Reporting to the Lab & Diagnostics Supervisor, the positions will perform full scope Laboratory, ECG, holter monitoring, and medical imaging duties for detection, prevention, and management of physiological and pathological conditions.
  • The CLXT works closely with all departments of ANHH, the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) Health Services, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) to delivery safe, accurate, and high-quality testing services and a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of approved Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technician program
  • Licensed and registered by the Saskatchewan Association of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technicians (SACLXT)
  • Completion of Immunology (IMMU193), Cardiac Markers (CHEM 1808), Blood Gases (CHEM 289) and Therapeutic Drugs and Drugs of Abuse (CHEM 1807) courses are required or must be willing to complete
  • Experience working as a CLXT in a rural setting and with Indigenous clients is an asset
