Columbia Icefield Jasper AB Altitude Food & Beverage Assistant Manager

Pursuit Collection Jasper, AB – Seasonal, full‑time position. Pay is $19 per hour with an annual total of $45,000. The role starts on April 20, 2025 and ends on October 18, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to exceed customer expectations.
  • Continuously improve guest and employee experiences, creating a “WOW” experience.
  • Resolve on‑spot guest service issues swiftly.
  • Ensure food quality meets the guidelines of the Food & Beverage Manager & Executive Chef.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and daily management of staff.
  • Implement service standards, procedures, and key notes for guests; clear tables and manage buffet line operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and exemplary food hygiene practices in the Food & Beverage areas.
  • Oversee food storage and dining areas to comply with safety regulations and health codes.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring all staff have required Pro‑Serve & Food Safe certifications.
  • Assist in achieving revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build and sustain a high‑functioning, positive team culture.
  • Adapt and improve standards based on guest needs and preferences.
  • Train the team to view the restaurant from a guest’s perspective.
  • Demonstrate positive body posture and language.
  • Prepare daily reports on promotions, dissatisfied guests, and feedback.
  • Support all hotel areas, keeping in mind “one guest – one experience.”
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality with a focus on food and beverage (asset).
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Track record of maintaining high standards on and off the floor.
  • Effective communicator, able to implement and uphold service standards.
  • Strong drive to foster a team‑building environment and create positive guest experiences.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Leadership demonstrated in a calm, positive, and focused manner.

Work Environment

The position is located in the iconic, inspiring Canadian Rockies. You will work in a dynamic, physically demanding environment requiring walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance).
