Job summary

A leading auto body repair company located in Winnipeg, Canada, is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician. The role involves structural and non-structural vehicle repairs, working collaboratively with a team, and ensuring quality standards meet key performance indicators. Eligible candidates must have at least 3 years of experience, relevant certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto Body Technician
  • Completion of a relevant Auto Body Repair Program is necessary
  • Red Seal or 310B certification is preferred
  • I-Car Registered or working towards Gold Class certification is a plus

Job Description:

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Repair damage to vehicle body panels
  • Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
  • Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
  • Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
  • Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
  • Use of frame equipment
  • Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
  • Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)
Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Red Seal or 310B is preferred
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)
Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.
  • You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
  • You have your own toolbox
  • Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Hourly:
$29- $31 per hour, Flat Rate

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
