Job summary

A leading collections firm in Toronto is seeking a Collections Supervisor to lead a team in achieving key metrics and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in collections, be bilingual in English and French (a plus), and possess advanced skills in Excel. This role includes evening and weekend work as needed and offers an hourly wage plus performance incentives.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English, French to be considered an asset.
  • 1 year of collections experience or relevant supervisory experience.
  • Advanced computer skills (specifically Excel).
  • Excellent knowledge of DRS.
  • Ability to work evenings and / or weekends on a rotating basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Professional, tactful and empathetic.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with TCR’s management team.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Coaching agents to success (i.e., KPIs, compliance, negotiation skills).
  • Administrative functions including creating, reporting on, and managing the team’s support desk.
  • Support production needs and perform calls, if necessary.
  • Handle escalated customer calls, and collections calls, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Collections Manager or Department Director.

Overview

TCR is growing! We’re looking for Collections Supervisors!

We currently have (1) vacancy for a bilingual Supervisor (French & English) located in Quebec, and (3) vacancies for English speaking only Supervisors in Ontario.

This position requires a minimum of 1 year’s experience in 3rd party collections. The Collections Supervisor plays a key leadership role in coaching, mentoring, providing direction, and ensuring quality of the services within the department.

In order to be eligible for employment, you must reside in a reasonable commuting distance to the following TCR offices in order to pick up your equipment. You must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.

Compensation in this role consists of an hourly wage, plus performance-based bonuses and incentives.
