Ciena Corporation in Ottawa is seeking a Coherent Plug NPI Program Manager to lead cross-functional development, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp for industry-leading optical products. You will define deliverables and schedules, review plans and risks, coordinate prototype builds in Ciena labs and contract manufacturing environments, and drive successful manufacturing ramps with stakeholders.

• Review project plans, communicate changes and risks, and establish contingency plans where needed.
• Manage prototype builds within Ciena laboratories and contract manufacturing environments.
• Coordinate production readiness activities to enable successful manufacturing ramp execution.

Ciena's Optical Modem NPI and LCM Engineering team is seeking a Coherent Plug NPI Program Manager to help bring industry-leading optical products into volume production. This role contributes to successful new product introductions by coordinating development, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp activities across multiple stakeholders. Success in this position supports efficient product launches, operational execution, and manufacturing scalability.

How you will make an impact:

The must haves:

• Education: Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Optical Engineering OR Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Optical Engineering.
• Experience: 3+ years of project management experience.

• Cross-functional leadership across engineering and operations teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The annual pay range for this position is $109,000 - $174,000 CAD

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
