Job summary

TC Energy is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Site Technician for the Bear Creek Cogeneration Plant in Grand Prairie, AB. You will support routine operations, maintenance, and outages, coordinating with Site Host and external contractors to ensure safe, reliable energy production.

The role requires post-secondary trade certification or power engineering/technologist training, with 5 years of cogeneration experience. Travel may be required, and the position is safety sensitive.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary Red Seal trade certification in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation, or Power Engineering/Technologist diploma considered.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a power/cogeneration plant or process operation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor routine operation and maintenance of the cogeneration plant.
• Review daily plant data and reports to identify risks to production and environmental plans.
• Coordinate with OEMs and contractors for troubleshooting and repairs; act as Site Representative for the Gas Turbine.
