Job summary

Restaurant Brands International (RBI) is hiring for a full-time manufacturing role at our Ancaster, Ontario facility located at 1290 Cormorant Road. The role runs on an afternoon shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with responsibilities including unloading green coffee beans, operating packaging lines, and completing quality checks and production reports.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in food production/packaging, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
• 2+ years of experience with production and packaging in the food industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, store, open, and dump green coffee beans into silos.
• Blend, bag and weigh blended green coffee for shipments.
• Set-up and operate packaging machines and complete start-up checklists.
• Perform quality checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Stage, load, and unload finished products and raw materials with forklift.
• Complete inbound/outbound checklists and production reports.
• Follow Health and Safety, GMP, and food safety policies.

Location

Location: 1290 Cormorant Road, Ancaster, ON, L9G 4V5 At Tim Horton's, we don't just serve a great cup of coffee, we serve a nation. Be a part of a team that truly helps to make this happen!This recruitment post is for full-time role based at our Manufacturing facility located at Ancaster, Ontario. The incumbent shall be on an afternoon shift schedule starting at 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

Role Responsibilities

• Unload, store, open, and dump green coffee beans into the receiving silos
• Ensure the proper quantity and type of green coffee bean is always available from the silos
• Blend, bag and weigh blended green coffee for outbound shipments
• Set-up and safely operate packaging machines including completing start-up checklists
• Perform quality checks, including inspection and cleaning of magnets
• Complete production reports
• Perform basic machine adjustments and maintenance
• Stage, load and unload finished product and raw materials using forklift
• Inspect and receive incoming deliveries, including completing In-bound checklist
• Replenish processing and packaging lines with necessary materials and take away finished goods
• Complete accurate records for all outbound shipments, including Out-bound checklist
• Follow all Health and Safety, GMP and food safety policies and regulations reporting any deviations to the Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) is required
• Proven track record of reliability and safety
• Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to read and follow written instructions
• 2 or more years of experience with production and packaging in the food industry is strongly preferred

Compensation

Starting hourly rate of $26.73 with progressive increases over 3 years to current top rate of $32.02 (not including applicable premium(s). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policy / program / plan, based on individual and company performance metrics.
