Staples Canada is seeking a Social Media Intern to support day‑to‑day execution of our social content strategy across Staples Canada and Staples Professional. You will help drive engagement, grow our online community, and boost brand awareness while collaborating with our social media agency.

The role involves content creation, trend research, and assisting with campaigns and product launches in a fast‑paced, hybrid work setting in Canada.

Specifically, You Will

• Assist with content creation including copywriting, basic design, and short‑form video.
• Track performance metrics and compile weekly reports to identify trends and opportunities.

• Research social trends, competitor activity, and emerging platform features to inform strategy.

Experience

Some of what you need:

• 0–1 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or related fields (internships, school projects, or personal content creation all count).

Education

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.

Must have

• Strong understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Basic content creation skills — copywriting, photo/video editing, or design.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• A proactive, creative mindset with a passion for digital storytelling.

Nice to have

• Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools.
• Knowledge of social media management platforms
• Understanding of paid social fundamentals.
• Comfort being on‑camera for short‑form content.
