Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton LLP in Mississauga seeks a Winter 2027 Co-op student to join the Privately Held Business Group. You will develop deep client relationships, provide accounting services, and help deliver tax and advisory support to diverse clients.

You are pursuing a post-secondary degree, aiming for CPA designation, and you will contribute to projects across industries while learning from experienced leaders in a collaborative, inclusive culture that values growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a post-secondary degree with strong academic record.
• Committed to pursuing the CPA designation and completing the relevant prerequisites.
• Experience or interest in providing accounting services, including planning and performing reviews/compilations, drafting financial statements, and payroll/HST calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep client relationships by working closely with clients and providing exceptional client service.
• Provide solutions to clients on current business and financial issues.
• Build the firm's reputation as the preferred business advisors in our growing practice.
• Work with clients across different industries and sectors.
• Provide accounting services including planning and executing review and compilation engagements, drafting financial statements, financial analysis, bookkeeping and payroll/HST calculations.
• Complete personal and corporate tax returns and respond to CRA requests.

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $55,000–$65,000 in Mississauga. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
