Job description

Who we are

Let’s start with this: you probably don’t picture an accounting firm as a place where brand, creativity, and big ideas live. Davidson is here to change that.

We’re in the middle of a major evolution. New leadership energy, a newly launched brand, and a firm-wide focus on growth, client experience, and doing things differently. This year is about momentum. We’ve just rebranded, and now we’re rolling that brand out into the world, shaping how we show up, how we tell our story, and how we support our clients as they grow.

We’re entrepreneurial, street-smart and a people-first organization. We care deeply about quality and professionalism, but we’re not buttoned up for the sake of it. We believe trust is built through courage, connection, and action, and our marketing team plays a critical role in bringing that to life.

If you’re looking for a place where you can actually do meaningful work, have your ideas heard, and help shape how a firm grows, this is it.

Who you are

You’re curious. You notice brands. You like figuring out how things work and how they could work better.

You’re the kind of person who’s excited by a blank page and a new tool. You’re comfortable jumping between writing copy, designing something sharp, helping run an event, or experimenting with automation or AI to make a process smarter. You’re professional, but not stiff. Confident, but collaborative.

You might not have thought an accounting firm could be a fun, fast-moving place to build marketing skills. That’s exactly why you should take a closer look.

The role

As our Marketing & Brand Co-op, you’ll support the firm’s marketing, branding, and growth initiatives at a pivotal moment for Davidson. Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Brand, you’ll work closely with partners, managers, and internal teams to help bring our brand to life and support client-focused growth strategies.

This role blends creativity with execution. You’ll support digital initiatives, content creation, proposals, events, and emerging technologies, gaining hands-on experience across the full marketing and business development spectrum in a professional services environment.

This is a preferred 8-month work experience term.

  • Assist with proposal and pitch development, including layout, visuals, formatting, and copy editing in PowerPoint
  • Help streamline proposal and content workflows using templates, automation, and technology, social media and digital presence
  • Support day-to-day management of Davidson’s social media channels, primarily LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Help plan and maintain a structured content calendar and identify daily priorities
  • Create and post content, including written copy, graphics, and short videos
  • Perform website updates using WordPress, including content edits and basic maintenance
  • Assist with CRM maintenance to track engagement and marketing activity
  • Explore tools, including AI-driven solutions, to support research, creation, analytics, and optimization

Research, reporting, and analytics

  • Conduct market and competitor research within accounting and professional services
  • Track and report on campaign performance, engagement metrics, and social activity
  • Analyze results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, marketing technology, and AI applications

Events and business development support

  • Assist with planning and coordinating firm events, including client seminars, networking events, recruitment activities, and industry conferences
  • Provide on-site support at events from setup to guest experience to follow-up
  • Interact professionally with clients, prospects, referral partners, and community stakeholders
  • Support event promotion through content, digital and print materials, and social media
