Hootsuite Inc. is seeking a Co-op/Intern in Software Development for the Winter 2027 term, based in Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON. The 4‑month internship offers a hands-on experience with a mentor, contributing to systems infrastructure and production-ready software.

You will work on a small team, learn modern development practices, and apply Go, Scala, PHP, Docker, and more to real-world problems. Start date is January 4, 2027, with offices in Vancouver or Toronto.

This Job is for Students pursuing a Career in Computer Science, Software Development or a related field.

You’ll work on a tight-knit team of passionate operations developers to build and maintain the systems infrastructure, servers and networks that power our mission-critical social media applications. You’ll pair with a mentor and work at our Vancouver or Toronto office side‑by‑side with a passionate, egoless team having fun building something bigger than themselves. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work with mentors to learn the craft of Software Development
• Collaborate in small teams to design, build, and ship high-quality software to Production
• Participate in code reviews to continually improve your craft and approach to problem solving
• Iterate in an agile fashion; creating hypotheses and testing them with incremental changes
• Work-out-loud by sharing your work and experiences internally and with our community
• Work with the following technologies:Go, Scala, PHP, Docker, Jenkins, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, Test Driven Design and Agile, React and Typescript.
