Job summary

Stream-Flo is seeking skilled CNC Set-Up Operators to efficiently set up and operate Mazak Integrex CNC equipment for high-quality components. This night shift role runs Monday through Thursday, 4:15 PM to 2:15 AM with overtime opportunities and relocation assistance for out-of-province applicants.

You will work with CNC programming and Industrial Engineering to uphold safety, quality, and productivity, stamping IDs and ensuring heat numbers are properly marked as required.

Qualifications

• CNC post-secondary certificate/diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating Mazak Integrex e500/e670 or similar multitasking machines.
• Tolerance control to +/-0.001 and tooling/fixture understanding.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines per work orders with safe practices.
• Ensure components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify and resolve machine, tooling, or production issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of machines and workstations.
• Record time and follow ERP work orders and travelers.
• Collaborate with programming and Industrial Engineering to improve processes.

Job description

We are looking for skilled CNC Set-Up Operators for a challenging role to efficiently and safely setup and operate CNC equipment (Mazak Integrex) to machine high-quality components for Stream-Flo's products.

This is a night shift position that has a paid and competitive night shift premium. The shift is Monday through Thursday, 4:15 PM to 2:15 AM with opportunities for overtime.

Duties Include:

• Operate CNC machines per work order requirements and identify and resolve production, equipment, and tooling-related problems.
• Ensure all machined components meet specified dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Ensure processes and machine operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
• Maintain an acceptable level of productivity and efficiency.
• Work in conjunction with CNC Programming and Industrial Engineering to achieve and maintain best practices, including the maintenance of tooling and fixture inventory.
• Ensure product quality meets drawing specifications.
• Stamp machinists ID on all pieces, and re-stamp and / or mark heat numbers on pieces when heat numbers have been removed by machining.
• Identify machining non-conformances by separation and / or marking.
• Maintain machines, equipment, and workstations to an acceptable Stream-Flo standard of cleanliness.
• Follow work order and process traveler requirements and fill our job sheets or record time using ERP system.
• Report all machine, crane and hoist problems in the proper maintenance logs and notify the Maintenance Department and / or lead hand / supervisor of a down time situation.
• Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

• Relevant CNC post-secondary certificate/diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience operating Mazak Integrex e500 or e670 or similar multitasking machines.
• Experience with part tolerance with +/-0.001.
• Ability to identify and understand tooling, inserts and fixtures.
• Familiarity with G-code programming.
• Experience with dimensional measuring techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Solid work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
