CNC Machinist/Powermill Programmer - Windsor

Our client, a leader in CNC machining is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist/Powermill Programmer to join their team in Windsor, on a STEADY DAY Shift. This is a high-tech environment comprised with skilled engineers, machinists, and technicians who thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing atmosphere. This person will want to advance their skills on complex, high-precision projects within a growing company.

Job Description
  • Program and operate 5-axis CNC machines (Hermle experience is a plus)
  • Create and optimize Powermill programs for precision components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications
  • Plan machining sequences, set up tooling, and configure workholding systems (FPT/FCS knowledge preferred)
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep your workspace safe and organized
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Powermill Programmer
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience programming and operating 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC machines
  • Familiar with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
  • Experience with Hermle machines and Erowa pallet systems (asset)
  • Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
