Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Surrey, BC, is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and maintain machinery while programming modifications to existing programs. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of CNC operation experience, an understanding of G-code, and strong analytical skills. The Opportunity

Grizzly Supplies is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Surrey, BC. As the CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating machine shop equipment, including programming and modifying related programs.

As the CNC Machinist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines, rubber press, and other machine shop equipment
  • Program and code to make modifications to existing programs
  • Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, and samples to ensure accurate production
  • Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
  • Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary
  • Maintain inventory of completed products
  • Identify and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs and maintain a safe and clean workstation

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • At least two years of prior CNC machine operation experience
  • Understanding of and experience with coding, including ability to write and edit G-code files
  • Relevant Red Seal trade certification is an asset
  • Familiarity with Siemens SINUMERIK or other controller systems
  • Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM and Fusion is an asset
  • Experience working with machine tools and/or mechanical assembly
  • Excellent mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • High attention to detail, quality, and safety
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The base pay range for this role is: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Surrey, BC.
