Wesgar Inc. in Port Coquitlam, BC, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our production team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC and manual equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.

The ideal candidate has CNC machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable inspecting finished work with micrometers and calipers. Shifts are Day or Afternoon, pay $22.00–$25.00 per hour, in person.

Qualifications

• CNC machining or machinist experience in a similar role.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Legally allowed to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, milling machines, drill presses).
• Run CNC programs and edit as required.
• Set speeds, feeds, and tooling for machining operations.
• Inspect parts during machining and document results.
• Use micrometers and calipers to verify parts.
• Identify machine, tooling, or quality issues and report/correct them.
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our production team.

This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has previous CNC machining experience, good mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable inspecting finished work using precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.
• Run CNC programs and make program edits as required.
• Set appropriate speeds, feeds, and tooling for machining operations.
• Inspect parts throughout the machining process and complete required inspection documentation.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers to verify finished parts.
• Identify machine, tooling, or quality issues and correct or report them as appropriate.
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

• Previous CNC machining or machinist experience in a similar position.

Schedule & Pay Details

• Shift: Day (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) or Afternoon (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
• Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
• Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Work Location: In person
