Job summary

Marwood International Inc. is a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier located in Tillsonburg, ON.

We seek a CMM Programmer/Operator to develop and verify full part layouts, perform capability studies, and support PPAP documentation in a high-precision metalwork environment. You will coordinate inspections with quality and production teams, maintain CMM/Scanner equipment, and utilize MCOSMOS/PolyWorks for data collection.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating CMMs, scanners or 3D scanners.
• Extensive knowledge of GD&T, blueprint and CAD data interpretation.
• 5 years related experience in Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing.
• 3 years' experience with stamping, welding and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspection requirements for plant & customer needs with advanced quality and production groups.
• Develop the required CMM/Scanner programs to conduct full dimensional part layouts and capability studies with reports for PPAP submissions.
• Provide CMM/Scanner verifications/statistical analyses to support problem investigations.
• Create and maintain proper documentation of inspection results.
• Maintain CMM/Scanner in good working condition and perform validation checks during and after machine use.
• Perform inspection using other precision measurement equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Conduct annual dimensional part layouts and capability studies on current parts as required.
• Verify dimensional accuracy of tooling and check fixtures to the design and drawing specifications.
• Maintain weekly and monthly reporting metrics.
• All other relevant duties as directed by leadership.

Shift: Days (Mon-Fri 8am-4:30p)

Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inspection requirements for plant & customer needs with advanced quality and production group(s)


• Develop the required CMM/Scanner programs to conduct full dimensional part layouts and capability studies with appropriate reports for PPAP submissions based off customer/internal requirements


• Provide CMM/Scanner verifications/statistical analysis to support problem investigations


• Create and maintain proper documentation of inspection results


• Maintain CMM/Scanner in good working condition and perform validation checks during and after machine use


• Perform inspection using a variety of other precision measurement equipment (i.e. micrometers, height gauge, calipers, indicators, etc.) to ensure conformance to specifications


• Conduct annual dimensional part layouts and capability studies on current parts as required


• Verify dimensional accuracy of tooling and check fixtures to the design and drawing specifications as required


• Maintain weekly and monthly reporting metrics


• All other relevant duties as directed


• Other tasks as assigned by the Director/Manager of quality to meet customer requirements

Key Requirements

• Grade 12, GED, or equivalent


• 2+ years previous technical experience operating CMM's, scanners or 3D scanners


• Extensive knowledge of GD& T, Blueprint & CAD data interpretation


• 5 years related experience in Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing


• 3 years' experience with stamping, welding and assembly processes


• Computer efficiency and systems knowledge in all required areas (i.e. MCOSMOS, Windows, Excel, Word, Polyworks)
