Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Learning Support Workers to support students in the Vanderhoof area, including Mapes. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.

Successful candidates will work with school and district staff to support individual student needs, help deliver education programs, and advocate for students within school teams. Additional requirements include a Criminal Record Check through the CRRP and BC Services Card setup.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilities.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.

Note: Applicants without the required certification will be considered Uncertified and compensated at the corresponding rate. Should you not have the required qualifications, you will be paid at the Uncertified Learning Support Worker rate ($26.72).

The successful applicant must complete a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks Checks through local RCMP detachments will not be accepted.
