Job summary

Quantiphi Analytics Canada Limited is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead end-to-end migration projects across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will architect onboarding to ROSA, AWS, Azure, and GCP, design security controls, and govern cloud architectures.

Ideal candidates have hands-on VMware migration experience and expertise in OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform. This role offers a high-impact, collaborative, global team environment in Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Extensive, hands-on experience leading large VMware-to-cloud migrations.
• Expert-level containerization with Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Cloud network security design with Palo Alto Networks in cloud contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration roadmaps and target state architecture discussions.
• Assess on‑prem VMware infra to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Develop architecture governance and security design documents.
• Design cloud network security frameworks integrating Palo Alto.
• Oversee hands-on migration of VMs and workloads to ROSA, AWS, Azure, GCP.

Job Description

Location: Canada Experience Level: 10+ Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead strategic discussions with client stakeholders to define the end-to-end migration roadmap, including target state architecture, cloud platform selection, and integration patterns.
• Technical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of the existing on-premise VMware infrastructure to identify architectural challenges, inter-dependencies, and potential migration risks, providing expert recommendations for mitigation.
• Architecture & Governance: Establish and govern a set of cloud architecture principles and migration best practices. Author and maintain technical design documents that enforce security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Security & Network Design: Design and implement robust cloud network and security frameworks, integrating solutions like Palo Alto to protect migrated workloads and ensure seamless connectivity between on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Migration Execution: Actively participate in and oversee the hands‑on execution of migrating virtual machines and complex application workloads to the designated public cloud platforms (ROSA, AWS, Azure, GCP).

Requirements:

• Demonstrable, in-depth experience architecting solutions across multiple major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
• Extensive, hands‑on experience leading and executing large-scale VMware‑to‑public‑cloud transformation projects.
• Expert‑level knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms, with specific experience in OpenShift Container Platform and container migration strategies.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing cloud network security controls, with specific experience using Palo Alto Networks solutions in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional‑level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proven expertise in architecting CI/CD pipelines, automating application deployments, and orchestrating cloud infrastructure provisioning.
