Job summary

Our client Covenant HR is partnering with a leading global technology consulting and AI services organization to hire a Cloud Architect in Montreal. The role is hybrid – three days onsite weekly, direct hire.

You will lead cloud architecture strategy, migration planning, security design, and governance for enterprise modernization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document architectures, and mentor junior staff throughout migrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud architecture experience.
• Expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Extensive VMware-to-cloud migration experience.
• Strong OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization experience.
• Experience designing secure cloud environments utilizing Palo Alto technologies.
• Strong consulting and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture strategy and migration planning for enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Assess existing VMware environments and develop migration roadmaps and target-state architectures.
• Define cloud architecture standards, governance, and technical best practices.
• Design secure networking and cloud security solutions supporting enterprise workloads.
• Guide the migration of virtual machines and application workloads into public cloud environments.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to evaluate cloud platform strategies.
• Produce architecture documentation and technical design artifacts.
• Support container migration strategies utilizing Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
