Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas is partnering with a leading global industrial gases and engineering company in Mississauga to hire a senior Data Engineering/Architecture professional stepping into a leadership role. You will oversee the shift into next-generation cloud analytics and own technical architecture while mentoring one direct report.

You will drive modernization with Microsoft Fabric, Spark, Azure, and Power BI, designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, maintaining legacy SQL environments, and

Qualifications

8-10+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture, or 5+ years with recent Lead experience.
Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark, and cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
Strong SQL core with SQL Server, indexing, scheduling, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Architect the Future State: blueprint current vs future data state and roadmaps.
Lead the Modernization: drive Microsoft Fabric and AI tool integration.
Pipeline Engineering: design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across clouds.
Maintain & Modernize Legacy: support SQL Server/SSIS while migrating to cloud.
Data Delivery & Analytics: enable BI and dashboarding with Power BI.
Data Governance & Quality: establish cataloging, lineage, security, and standards.
