Clinician – Registered
Full-time Position in Timmins

As a member of the Child and Youth Mental Health team, the Clinician – Registered will provide psychotherapy, single sessions, counselling and psychotherapy, support and clinical assessments to address identified behavioural, social and emotional needs of children, adolescents (up to eighteen (18) years of age) and their family support systems. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful and innovative, working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

Job Requirements (Qualifications and Skills):

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or a Health-Related Discipline is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor of Social Work, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other four year Honours degrees combined with a College diploma accepted by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or College of Nurses of Ontario will be considered.
  • Must be eligible or registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse, the College of Psychologists or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in accordance with the Psychotherapy Act. Membership to the respective College must be maintained annually.
    Clinical skills in the area of children’s mental health.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver’s license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle.

À titre de membre de l’équipe de santé mentale des enfants et jeunes, la clinicienne ou le clinicien inscrite ou inscrit fournira des services de psychothérapie, des séances individuelles, du counseling, un appui et des évaluations cliniques pour régler les besoins comportementaux, sociaux et affectifs cernés chez les enfants, les jeunes (jusqu’à dix-huit [18] ans) et les réseaux de soutien de leur famille. L’heureuse candidate ou l’heureux candidat sera une personne qui fera preuve d’initiative, de débrouillardise et d’innovation en travaillant avec une équipe multidisciplinaire dynamique de professionnels ou de professionnelles.

Exigences de l’emploi (qualités et compétences requises):

  • Maîtrise en travail social, en counseling, en psychologie ou dans une discipline liée à la santé est préférable. Un baccalauréat en travail social ou un baccalauréat en sciences infirmières ou autres baccalauréats spécialisés de quatre ans combinés à un diplôme collégial reconnu par l’Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des techniciens en travail social de l’Ontario (OTSTTSO), l’Ordre des psychothérapeutes autorisés de l’Ontario (OPAO) ou l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers de l’Ontario peut également être considéré.
  • Doit être admissible ou inscrit(e) et en règle auprès des travailleurs sociaux et des techniciens en travail social de l’Ontario (OTSTTSO) à titre de travailleur(euse) social(e), de l’Ordre des psychothérapeutes autorisés de l’Ontario (OPAO), de l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers de l’Ontario à titre d’infirmier(ère) autorisée, de l’Ordre des psychologues de l’Ontario ou de l’Ordre des ergothérapeutes de l’Ontario. L’adhésion à l’Ordre respectif doit être maintenue annuellement.
  • Compétences cliniques dans le domaine de la santé mentale des enfants.
  • Capacité de travailler avec efficacité et en collaboration avec d’autres professionnelles et professionnels.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, excellent entregent et excellent sens de l’organisation.
  • Le bilinguisme (anglais/français) est requis.
  • Les candidats doivent être titulaires d’un permis de conduire G2 au moment de leur candidature et être disposés à obtenir un permis de conduire G valide comme condition d’emploi, ou être déjà titulaires d’un permis de conduire G valide et avoir accès à leur propre véhicule.
