Job summary

EHN Canada is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead the addictions counselling team, oversee day-to-day clinical programming, and collaborate with the Executive Director to maintain high standards of client care.

The role includes keeping a caseload when needed, facilitating groups and psychoeducational sessions, supporting measurable outcomes, and guiding staff through onboarding, documentation, and risk management within a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ leadership experience in supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, addictions, behavioural health, or related field.
• Three to five years of mental health and addictions experience; membership in good standing with a relevant professional body.
• Experience providing individual and group counselling and delivering psychoeducational programming.
• Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, mentorship or leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate program content and recommend revisions using evidence-based practices.
• Provide leadership, supervision, coaching and day-to-day direction to the addictions counselling team.
• Ensure onboarding and orientation of new staff with clinical content and discharge planning/summaries.
• Maintain a trauma-informed, client-centered approach and evidence-based therapy.
• Lead clinical team meetings and participate in recruitment, QA and program development.
• Maintain a caseload as required to support program needs and after-hours on-call support.
• Monitor clinical documentation, treatment planning and discharge summaries for quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and interdisciplinary leadership to align services.
