Clinical Staff Pharmacist – Medicine Shoppe, Nanaimo BC

We are looking for a dedicatedPharmacistto join our team at the Medicine Shoppe in Nanaimo, BC.

Compensation:$120,000–$150,000 per year(earn more through our professional services fee-sharing model)

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Provide counselling on prescriptions, OTC products, and general health concerns (indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosages).
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
  • Communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with legislation and College standards (customer files, narcotics/controlled substances, etc.).
  • Administer vaccinations, including travel, adult, and COVID-19 through IMMSBC.
  • Witness OAT clients and ensure compliance with College regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management, including preparation, packaging, and storage of medications.
  • Promote health and wellness through in-store consultations, community events, and clinics.
  • Deliver other professional clinical services as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist in BC (required)
  • Authorization to administer vaccines (required)
  • Registered and familiar with IMMSBC for vaccine administration (required)
  • Knowledge of OAT treatment College regulations (required)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Independent decision-making and professionalism
  • Proficiency with Kroll; experience with Propel is an asset
