Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assistance with participant recruitment and consenting.
  • Participant follow-up via phone and email.
  • Data collection, including sensor placement on neonates.

Skills

Excellent French and English, spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision
Comfortable in an operating room and an intensive care unit

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

The role involves participating in the recruiting and consenting patients and parents for medical device research studies and participating in data collection. You will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, including the operating room. Ideal for someone interested in health, obstetrics, or neonatology, and comfortable speaking with families in clinical settings.

General Duties
  • Assistance with participant recruitment and consenting,
  • Participant follow-up (phone & email)
  • Data collection (, sensor placement on neonates, live annotations using tablets, etc.).

Field of Study: Health / Science (asset but not required)
