Job summary

Manitoba Psychological Society is seeking a qualified psychologist with a Master's degree to administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and families within CYTS services. Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology from a recognized university is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of testing procedures, test forms, and materials used in psychological assessment.
  • Knowledge of psychological test interpretation.
  • Extensive knowledge of the application of psychological principles to mental health and illness.
  • Foundational knowledge of normal development and psychopathology.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a clinical interview with a patient and, where applicable, with collateral informants (e.g., family members) and other practitioners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with patients of all ages.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of data management skills.
  • Ability to speak and understand French would be an asset.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records, Child and Adult Abuse Registry checks.

Responsibilities

  • Administers, scores, and interprets psychological assessments and measures.
  • Conducts structured clinical interviews.
  • Collects and evaluates assessment data.
  • Prepares clinical reports and supports the delivery of psychological services.
  • Assists in patient treatment and care.
