Job summary

Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing in North Bay seeks a Clinical Programs Manager to provide leadership across Developmental Services programs, counselling services, and the PAR program. The role includes clinical supervision, data coordination, and performance reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous quality improvement.

You will collaborate with families, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring ethical risk management and high-quality client care

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or closely related clinically focused field; or BSW with active OCWSSW registration.
  • Registered with a relevant Ontario regulatory body (OCSWSSW/CRPO) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical supervision/leadership in Developmental Services or mental health settings.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct clinical practice.
  • Experience in Developmental Services including supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience overseeing multiple community-based programs and data reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and person-centered planning.

The Community Counselling Centre is a fully accredited, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, couples, and families through professional counselling services and community programs. Position

The Clinical Programs Manager, will provide leadership, supervision, and oversight across Developmental Services programs, counselling services, the ReKnew Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program, administrative support functions, and data coordination activities as well as other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, demonstrated leadership experience, and a solid background in Developmental Services, including supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and collaborating with families, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams. This position will also provide clinical supervision and oversight to registered professionals periodically. You will provide strong clinical supervision and exercise sound ethical judgment in managing client risk, supporting quality service planning, overseeing service data and performance reporting, engaging with community service partners, and meeting performance targets across multiple funding streams. The Programs Manager will play a key role in monitoring program outcomes, data integrity, service trends, and funder reporting requirements to support informed decision-making and continuous service improvement. In collaboration with program staff, you will support quality assurance and continuous quality improvement measures within your assigned programs, including monitoring service quality, supporting compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and promoting evidence-informed practices. Strong proficiency in clinical data systems, data analysis, and performance measurement is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of person-centered practices, developmental disability services, community-based supports, and evidence-informed intervention approaches, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships that enhance client outcomes and service integration across multiple program areas. This position requires flexibility to work one (1) to two (2) evenings per week as required to accommodate program, staff, and client service needs. Essential Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a closely related clinically focused field; or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with eligibility for and active registration in the Social Worker class with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • Registered and in good standing with a relevant Ontario regulatory body that aligns with their education and scope of practice (e.g., OCSWSSW or CRPO).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience providing clinical supervision and leadership within Developmental Services, mental health, addictions, or related community service settings.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Developmental Services, including supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Experience in counselling, mental health, addictions, trauma, or related community-based services is preferred.
  • Experience overseeing multiple community-based programs, including Developmental Services, counselling, violence prevention/intervention programs, or related human services programs.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing clinical, program, or service data, including performance monitoring, outcome measurement, reporting, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency with clinical databases, data management systems, reporting tools, and the analysis and interpretation of service metrics.
  • Demonstrated competence in staff supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, trauma-informed care, person-centered planning, and treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting quality assurance, compliance monitoring, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives within Developmental Services programs.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental disability services and applicable legislation, regulations, and best practices within the Developmental Services sector.
  • Proven track record in managing change, fostering innovation, and guiding teams through complex service transformations.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively across sectors.
  • Familiarity with community partners and a deep understanding of the Nipissing area.
  • Knowledge of community agencies and experience fostering inter‑agency collaborations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work one (1) to two (2) evenings per week as required.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle, with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
