Job description

Lionheart Foundation is seeking a full-time Clinical Manager to lead the development of our new Program Team in Edmonton, Alberta. Working closely with Lionheart’s Clinical Director, the Clinical Manager will support therapeutic recruitment for Lionheart Foundation’s Edmonton location, provide direct team supervision and clinical support to the Youth Mental Health Counseling Program Team. This position is ideal for an emerging clinical leader interested in expanding their skills in a non-profit environment.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Manager is responsible for:

  • Under the leadership of Lionheart’s Clinical Director, recruit skilled clinicians to Lionheart’s therapeutic network to deliver subsidized anxiety-based, adolescent-specific therapy
  • Support clinical onboarding for all new partner/contracted Lionheart therapists
  • Support ongoing clinical training for all onboarded therapists
  • Provide clinical support to the Youth Mental Health Counseling Program Team
  • Conduct clinical file reviews for each adolescent and young adult client
  • Provide team supervision and leadership to the Youth Mental Health Counseling Program Team

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the mental health and services landscape in Edmonton
  • Have a master’s degree or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or any other related clinical field
  • Be registered and in good standing with their professional organization or governing body
  • Have between 5 to 10 years of experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting (age 12 to 25)
  • Demonstrated Competencies in the following clinical underpinnings:
    • Family Systems/Ecological Model
    • Attachment Theory
    • Emotion-focused and Somatic-Based Approaches
    • Trauma-Informed Approaches
    • Personal & Interpersonal Neurobiology
    • Analysis & Integration of Intersectionality, Biases, Anti-Racism & DEI
  • At least three of the following treatment modalities:
    • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization/Reprogramming)
    • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Family Therapy
    • Exposure Therapy
    • Mindfulness
    • Solution-Focused Therapy
    • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
    • Art Therapy
    • Hakomi Method
    • Integrative Body Psychotherapy
    • Internal Family Systems Therapy
    • Maudsley Method
    • Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
  • Minimum 3-5 years clinical supervisory experience or managerial experience in a mental health setting
  • Ability to obtain a PRAC ID
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in report writing for funders
  • Experience working at a non-profit organization an asset
