Job summary

CBI Home Health in Edmonton, AB seeks a Clinical Educator for a 1-year contract to design and deliver education programs for frontline staff, supporting onboarding and ongoing development.

You will assess learning needs, coordinate with clinical and quality teams, ensure training aligns with standards, and promote evidence-based practice while maintaining materials and resources. This role requires travel within the region and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

  • Registered Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA, in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn business-specific tools.
  • Preferred minimum of two years of training experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs for frontline staff.
  • Assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and quality teams to enhance training.
  • Ensure education aligns with legislation, accreditation standards, and policies.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.

What you will do

  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs, orientations, workshops, and training for frontline staff.
  • Assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching and competency support.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and quality teams to develop and improve training programs.
  • Ensure education initiatives align with legislation, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and quality objectives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to support staff performance and client outcomes.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives through education and training.
  • Coordinate external educational resources and subject matter experts as needed.
  • Maintain training materials, equipment, and learning environments.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, professional development, and leadership growth among team members.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of staff and administrative team members.
  • Maintain professional competencies and stay current with industry best practices.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements, infection prevention protocols, and privacy/confidentiality standards.

What you will need to be successful

  • Registered Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA, in good standing.
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of training experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, and the ability to learn new programs specific to the business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, empathy, and patience.
  • Ability to drive teamwork and staff engagement.
  • Results-oriented with analytical decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated educator/training experience both in-person and virtually is required.
  • The ability to teach students at different levels and learning styles and strives to ensure a positive outcome from their learning.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle for work related travel.
  • Flexibility to travel for work if required.
