POSITION SUMMARY

BORN Ontario is recruiting a Clinical Content Specialist in Clinical Informatics (CCS‑CI) to bridge clinical practice and information technology. The successful candidate supports the design implementation and optimization of clinical information systems that align with workflows enable high‑quality data capture and promote evidence‑informed decision‑making across the perinatal and child health continuum. Working with internal teams and external partners the CCS‑CI ensures seamless integration of clinical data from provincial digital health assets applies data exchange standards and contributes to system harmonization to improve patient care through optimized data and technology use.

The Clinical Content Specialist (CI) will combine clinical knowledge with IT skills to manage analyze and optimize healthcare data systems.

The Successful Candidate

Acts as a clinical informatics champion by coordinating and communicating clinical and / or technical system implementation plans that increase use and adoption of high‑quality information that drives timely evidence‑informed decision making.

Leverages a deep understanding of relevant clinical user experience clinical workflows and patient care processes especially related to clinical documentation and the use of electronic health records to inform the implementation of new or enhanced clinical systems and / or technology.

Applies the BORN Information Quality Framework and develops an information quality roadmap to support change management for both internal and external stakeholders.

Analyzes the impact of new or enhanced clinical systems and technologies on existing workflows accounting for various data provision methods and clinical contexts.

Supports interoperability by applying recognized health data exchange standards (e.g. HL7 FHIR SNOMED CT LOINC) to enable seamless integration of clinical data across provincial systems and repositories.

Is familiar with clinical laboratory data systems processes and workflows and liaises with various provincial data repositories to support broader system harmonization and streamlined data flows.

Leads initiatives to integrate clinical data from diverse provincial digital health assets (e.g. hospital EHRs laboratory systems public health databases) into the BORN registry ensuring data consistency completeness and usability.

Acts as a liaison between IT teams and healthcare providers to ensure smooth communication and implementation of new data integration workflows.

Identifies and addresses quality issues and project risks related to information access workflows timelines and data integrity and develops mitigation strategies in collaboration with management.

Collaborates with key partners to facilitate knowledge translation and stakeholder engagement related to new clinical systems and / or technologies.

Participates in project teams to ensure enhancements meet user needs and reports concerns where solutions may hinder usability increase workload or pose risks to adoption.

Assists in development and implementation of guidelines policies and standard operation procedures that enable information quality and maintain required levels of information quality privacy and security.

Monitors emerging trends in clinical informatics and digital health to inform future registry enhancements and data integration strategies.

Participates in additional clinical administrative and research activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Criminal Record Check (CRC) (Essential)

A Bachelors degree in a related health discipline and Professional clinical designation and a minimum 5 years experience in a maternal / newborn or pediatric care setting (Essential)

Experience with use and configuration of clinical documentation systems and various Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms with focus on Laboratory Information Systems. (Essential)

Experience with clinical laboratory workflows and laboratory information systems including various provincial data repositories (Essential)

Demonstrate knowledge regarding new trends in clinical practice and information systems (Essential)

Comprehensively use computer technology and equipment; proficiency in MS Office suite (Essential)

Le ou la spécialiste du contenu clinique (IC) combinera des connaissances cliniques et des compétences informatiques pour gérer analyser et optimiser les systèmes de données médicales.

La personne retenue aura les tâches suivantes :

Agir à titre de spécialiste de linformatique clinique en coordonnant et en communiquant les plans de mise en œuvre des systèmes cliniques et techniques. Ces systèmes visent à accroître lutilisation et ladoption dinformation de haute qualité nécessaire à la prise de décision fondée sur des données probantes en temps opportun.

Leaders innovations de l'utilisation de la télémédecine et la gestion des dossiers médicaux interactifs pour améliorer la prise de décision et la coordination des soins.

Assurer la gestion continue et l'intégration des flux de données des produits des commodités et la coordination des informations de santé et de données de santé processie.

Établir des plans de mise en œuvre et les processus de suivi et supervisions des activités de coordination logiciel et nécessaires à l'administration ressources.

Faciliter le travail d’intégration et la collecte et l'enregistrement des données nécessaires à la recherche, de suivi et la gestion de l'analyse des données, l'ordonnancement d'information et des nouveaux produits pour l'optimisation de la gestion de dossiers de données.

QUALIFICATIONS

Avoir de l'expérience dans la gestion des utilisateurs et partage de la bibliographie des utilisateurs et la structure d'entrée d'un clinicien et l'expérience d'habituels en lien avec l'alignement des processus de données.

Connaissance pratique des protocoles de transformation des ressources et informations sur la clinique pouvant être unitée à des standard de qualité de l'information de leurs RDV de l'équipe fiscale.

Expérience en matière de liaison de ranging des patients vers les modules de identités un serveur d'information juridique des dossiers de données d'un gestionnaire clinique et les meilleures pratiques de structure.

Capacité à comprendre la capacité cloud store un serveur utilisé à l'analyse et la fonction de mise à jour en cours du nom d'une Information Automatisée.

Doit soutenir la normalisation rapide de la mise à disposition de rapports de désignation de l'accès de la mise à jour à l'information et l'autonomie de mise à jour de l'analyse et l'alimentation de la dspace des résultats de la procédure.
