Job summary
A community support organization in Ontario is seeking a qualified Social Worker to provide psychotherapy services and clinical support to children and adolescents facing various challenges. Candidates must have appropriate educational qualifications and relevant experience, along with strong crisis intervention skills. Bilingual candidates will be given special consideration. This role requires travel and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a mental health setting.
- Must be registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers.

Qualifications
Skills :
- A Masters Degree in Social Work or a Health-Related Discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is preferred.
- Candidates with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work with extensive and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Must be eligible and able to perform Psychotherapy as defined under the act.
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in a mental health setting, is required.
- Experience with providing a broad range of clinical services and demonstrated effective work with a child and adolescent population who present a variety of clinically challenging issues.
- Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills is essential.
- Strong case management and crisis intervention skills.
- An understanding of the complexities of working with multi-stressed individuals and families is required.
- Experience and knowledge in crisis intervention is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong Relationship Building, Engagement and Meeting Facilitation Skills.
- Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a validOntario drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.
- Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
