The Opportunity

Clinic Operations Specialists are responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of medication are maintained for treatment, as well as partnering with patient support programs and insurance providers to support coverage of therapy and assist with various administrative duties.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here)
  • Maintain office injection and injection supplies inventory by checking stock, determining inventory levels, anticipating medication needs, storing patient medications, placing orders, and verifying receipt
  • Reconcile medication uses post-clinic and reassign medication as appropriate
  • Complete and submit information required to obtain coverage of medication through patient support programs and insurance providers
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy to understand patient medication coverage as needed
  • Promote and maintain proper patient relations and patient confidentiality
  • Support patient enrolment into patient support programs for Retina
  • Schedule patients for appointments
  • Liaise with patients via phone and email
  • Perform various clinic administrative and clerical tasks as required
  • Work within clinic databases and computer programs to complete administrative tasks and functions
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director and/or Director of Provider Solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in a relevant field/discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • High adaptability, willingness to learn, and excellent people skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
