Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Transportation Service Worker to drive clients to appointments and activities, while maintaining safety and confidentiality. The role includes loading mobility devices, cleaning vehicles, and performing routine checks in a supportive team environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid G license, and a clean driverss abstract with experience in Canada. Proficiency with basic tech devices and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or higher.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Current First Aid/CPR, class C or HCP level certification, or higher.
• Current driverss license (G) with clean abstract.
• At least 3 years of driving experience in Canada with a clean driverss abstract.
• Background check including vulnerable sector check.
• Defensive driving training preferred.
• Able to meet health requirements and operate basic tech devices.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Respect for client confidentiality and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social events.
• Load/unload clients and mobility devices safely in vehicles.
• Perform vehicle checks and report concerns to management.
• Clean and maintain interiors/exteriors of company vehicles.
• Assist with supplies, errands, and HAL-related duties.
• Provide ride-along training to volunteers and staff as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and organizational protocols.
• Support in incident reporting and safety initiatives.
• Adapt to changing duties as assigned by management.
