Job Opportunity: Client Services Lead - Box Office (Temporary, 12-Month Contract)
TCU Place is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Client Services Lead, to join our Box Office team. This front-line position plays a key role in supporting both our theatre and convention operations through professional client service, efficient box office administration, and event coordination support.
This is a temporary 12-month contract with the potential to extend or move to permanency following the term. The Client Services Lead's work schedule averages 30 hours per week, with flexibility required to accommodate varying event and operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for events, including mailings, invoice preparation, audits, and reporting.
- Coordinate show set-up and group sales; liaise with promoters and sponsoring clients from setup to completion.
- Enter and maintain client and event information in Momentus (event management software) and follow up with corporate suite and box clients post-event.
- Generate reports from Momentus to assist with monthly budget forecasting, theatre rental activity, attendance, and other metrics.
- Sell tickets to customers in person, over the phone, and online through AudienceView, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Troubleshoot box office systems and equipment, including scanners and POS devices.
- Represent the department during event settlements and act as backup to the Client Services Sales Coordinator.
- Assist casual attendants on weekends or when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Support wayfinding, printing, courier, and other guest service requests related to both theatre and convention operations.
- Maintain the lost and found inventory and provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary diploma in Business, Tourism, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience in the hospitality, convention, or theatre industry.
- Experience with high-volume ticketing systems, cash handling, and customer service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, AudienceView, and Momentus (or similar event management software).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, courteous, and diplomatic approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with box office operations and procedures is considered an asset.
- Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) required.
