Job summary

MNP in Winnipeg is seeking a Client Service Specialist for Cloud Accounting to support full cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting for diverse clients. You will handle remittances, GL reconciliations, and collaborate with teams to deliver accurate financial services.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with QBO and Xero, solid accounting knowledge, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with solid accounting principles.
• 2 to 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience.
• Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is asset.
• Strong knowledge and experience with cloud accounting QBO; Xero a plus.
• QBO Basic, QBO Advance, Xero certifications are assets.
• Understanding GST, PST, HST, payroll taxes and corporate tax.
• Experience with desktop bookkeeping software beneficial.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and AI.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for MNP clients.
• Prepare and maintain payroll and related remittances/filings, recording transactions.
• Set up client files and assist with budgets and administrative planning.
• Reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, payables/receivables.
• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, develop resolutions with supervisor.
• Communicate with governments regarding information requests and installments.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to maintain relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for MNP clients
• Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances/filings, recording of sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) transactions
• Set up client files and assist with the completion of budgets and administrative planning
• Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploads
• Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor or engagement partner to develop resolutions
• Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments and installments
• Work collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with clients and team members

Skills And Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles
• 2 to 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience
• Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset
• Must have strong knowledge and experience working with cloud accounting software QBO
• Additional experience with Xero would be considered an asset
• QBO Basic, QBO Advance, Xero and other application certifications are considered an asset
• Understanding of sales taxes (GST, PST, HST), payroll taxes and corporate tax
• Experience working with desktop bookkeeping software is beneficial
• Comfortable using and learning new technologies and AI
