Description :

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Delegated Solutions team at Mercer. This role will be based in Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Mercer has an opportunity for a Senior Client Service Professional in our Delegated Solutions group.

We will count on you to :
  • Communicate all asset management and reporting services to Mercer Global Investment Canada Limiteds (MGI) clients including contributing to quarterly report commentary drafting fund change announcements and responding to client requests.
  • Manage relationships to support lasting client partnerships.
  • Work with the reporting team to peer review finalize and deliver monthly / quarterly performance reports to clients.
  • Coordinate and attend client meetings across Canada including presentations to investment committees.
  • Participate in MGIs investment team meetings and meetings with sub‑advisors to understand capital markets and fund performance to explain to clients.
  • Contribute to preparation of client investment guidelines and strategy working closely with clients and MGIs portfolio management team.
  • Support operations team with audit requests and assist consulting team with client portfolio asset mix / fund changes ensuring suitability requirements.
  • Actively participate in new client onboarding and liaise with new clients on transitions to MGI platform.
  • Support legal team in updating client legal documentation and coordinate completion of legal and compliance documents.
  • Facilitate clients subscription to private market funds.
  • Support delivery of advisory services including asset allocation reviews de‑risking and interest rate risk management analyses.
  • Collaborate with Mercer colleagues on bundled client relationships involving asset management and actuarial / administration services.
  • Work on special projects as required.
What you need to have :
  • Bachelor degree combined with MBA and / or CFA or CIM designations strongly preferred.
  • Registration as an advising representative with Ontario Securities Commission Alberta Securities Commission or BC Financial Services Authority required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts for groups.
  • Excellent technical skills especially advanced Excel; experience with MS-Access is an asset.
  • Advanced understanding of portfolio performance and attribution strongly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of client‑facing experience in the investment field with an investment manager or consulting firm.
  • Pension background desirable (understanding of pension liabilities).
