Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Delegated Solutions team at Mercer. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Delegated Solutions involves asset owners outsourcing investment management of institutional assets to Mercer. Mercer hires underlying investment managers within each of our funds across asset classes and provides overall investment oversight and consulting services. This portion of our business is growing rapidly with over 100% growth over the past five (5) calendar years measured in assets under management.

This rapid growth has created a need for a motivated and well organized individual to join our dedicated Client Service team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of industry leading levels of client service at the time of new client onboarding and throughout the relationship.

We will count on you to:
  • Play an important role in ensuring required client mandate and account documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner thereby improving client and internal partner satisfaction.
  • Help ensure new clients come on board smoothly
  • Support delivery of investment advisory services to clients
  • Work collaboratively with Mercer colleagues, in other geographies, on bundled client relationships where we may be providing asset management, actuarial and/or administration services
  • Liaise with other Client Service team members and clients to ensure required documentation and information is exchanged and received in timely and efficient manner
  • Work closely with our Legal and Compliance teams toward completing required onboarding steps
  • Manage client relationships in a way that strengthens long-term ties with clients
  • Work and communicate key messages to clients
  • Participating in MGI's investment, Operations and Central resource team meetings
  • Work on special projects as required
What you need to have:
  • A Community college or Bachelor degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the investment field with a focus on client onboarding, client support related to investing in private market vehicles, operations,
